Beck and his wife Patty, the home was completed in 1964 and features an exterior of arched colonnades, a double grand staircase in the great hall, and a terraced landscape leading to the creek behind the house. A stunning entertaining space, the home has hosted two recent events attended by President Obama. The home remains a private residence. You will have the extraordinary opportunity to see the home and its incredible art, collected by the current owners, as well as the stunning renovations by architects Bodron+Fruit. Mark Lamster, architecture critic for The Dallas Morning News and professor at UTA’s School of Architecture, will present remarks gleaned from his research for his upcoming book on Philip Johnson."
