Revolver Brewing in Granbury, Texas hopped onto the local craft-brewing scene last year and is already releasing a special beer to commemorate its first year of brewing and bottling.
Father-son founders Ron and Rhett Keisler picked out a parcel of land about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth in part because it had a water well on-site that allowed them to reach an aquifer 440 feet below. Along with brewer master and cicerone Grant Wood, who previously worked for Samuel Adams, they've done quiet well with the first beers that have hit the market, particularly their American wheat ale, Blood and Honey.

To celebrate the brewery's first anniversary, they have unveiled a limited-release beer called Mullet Cutter, an English style double IPA weighing in at a hefty 9 percent ABV.
Rhett says the beer is brewed with "a ridiculous amount of Weyermann Abbey malt for a slight honey sweetness." They finished the beer with three kettle hops -- summit, East Kent Goldings and Brmbling Cross -- and then dry hopped it with Citra (80 IBU's).
To get your hands on one, you should hoof it on over to the brewery this weekend for a tour from noon to 3 p.m. Or purchase a ticket to Brewvolution at Fair Park this weekend.
Mullet Cutter will also be on tap at Word of Beer tomorrow and at the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth on Friday night.
