If you're like us, you don't make weekend plans five days in advance, and usually not before you've recovered from your Saturday morning hangover. Instead of sharing a week's worth of events every Monday, we're now going to have (mostly) daily updates on what events are happening around town. Mondays are usually not very eventful, but we have three suggestions to kick off the week that don't involve sitting on the couch.

Now that holiday season is in full swing, it's time to break out the 10-pound bag of sugar and start baking some pies and cookies. It's scary how many of our favorite holiday desserts consist mainly of fat and sugar, but those ingredients are what make pumpkin pie and cheesecake so good, right? Spiral Diner's Sara Tomerlin disagrees, and tonight she's showing how to make vegan versions of your favorite desserts like sugar cookies and pumpkin cheesecake. Head to the Oak Cliff location at 7 p.m. and learn how to make healthier holiday treats that taste just as good as their buttery counterparts. Cinnamon rolls and pumpkin pie are also on the menu, so bring your appetite for this class, folks.

Looking to unwind after a stressful day at work? Urbano Cafe is offering a five-course dinner, and all you have to do is bring the wine. The BYOB dinner is at 7 p.m., and the menu features rabbit scallopini, quinoa salad and lamb. The best part is you don't have to pay for expensive wine pairings. Bring a bottle of the finest vino that 7-Eleven offers or visit the neighboring Jimmy's Food Store for a bottle of something worth sharing.

There's another dinner worth mentioning, but you'll need your American Express for this one. Toulouse Cafe and Bar is hosting a four-course dinner highlighting everyone's favorite fungus, the white truffle. Enjoy a white truffle custard, seared scallops with shaved white truffles and veal with polenta and white truffles. At $90 a person, you'll need to bring tweezers to get every last piece of truffle on your plate. Keep it classy, Dallas.
