Sure, we're suppose to dedicate this week to our dads and everything they've done for us, but what about Mom? Well, how about we celebrate Mom all summer long? The GattiTown location off Marsh Lane will honor mothers this summer by offering a free buffet to them every Monday. All you moms have to do is bring your little rugrats in and purchase a child's buffet. The cost will be anywhere from $5.69 to $8.69 depending how old your kid is. While you're enjoying your free pizza, the kiddos can keep themselves busy playing in the 6,000-square-foot midway. For more information, visit www.gattitownnorthdallas.com

or call 972-677-7598.

For all you non-parent folks, don't steal your friend's kid for a day just to get a free meal. Now, if they were giving out free adult beverages, that would be another matter.

Also going on this week....

Norma's Café in Oak Cliff will celebrate a birthday on Tuesday, June 15. The home-style café turns 54 this year and will roll back prices at both locations (there's one in North Dallas too) that day. They will be offering a chicken-fried steak or meatloaf dinner for $1.79. Norma's says that was the price of the meal back in 1956 when the diner first opened.

Chef Stephan Pyles will make an appearance on Martha Stewart Living Radio on Tuesday, June 15. He will talk about the evolution of Southwestern cuisine and his newest restaurant Samar by Stephan Pyles. Make sure to tune in at 1 p.m. to Channel 112 on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Chef Tom Colicchio, 2010 James Beard Outstanding Chef Award winner, will join chef de cuisine Jeff Harris in the Craft kitchen next Wednesday and Thursday, June 23-24. They will cook with a few of their favorite seasonal ingredients like purple hull peas, sweet corn and Copper River sockeye salmon, among other things. You can book a reservation by calling 214-397-4111 or visiting www.craftdallas.com.

Jamba Juice kicked off a low-price special menu last Monday, June 7, to celebrate summer. On Monday they will have $3 meals; Tuesday will be $3 all-fruit smoothies; Wednesday will offer $2 oatmeal; you can get $1 off tea and coffee smoothies on Thursday; and Friday will have $1 off baked goods with a purchase of any menu drink and $3 flatbread.
