Hey ladies, we hope you can find a babysitter, skip your yoga class or leave work early this Thursday, April 29, because La Duni has something special planned for you. From 6-9 p.m., La Duni's NorthPark location will host a free Girls Night Out celebrating the DVD release of It's Complicated. You will get to enjoy a glass of wine or a mojito with a miniature chocolate croissant while clips of the film play.
Also, La Duni will preview spring fashion trends and offer complimentary beauty treatments like make-up and skincare applications and mini-massages. The first 250 guests over the age of 21 who RSVP for the event will receive a free wine tote and a copy of Martha Stewart Living magazine. The first 150 guests will receive a Lululemon athletica bag filled with NorthPark retail samples. If the free drink, food bites and beauty samples aren't enough, then guests can register for a chance to win a trip for two to Santa Barbara. Paciugo Gelato will unveil the first of its four new flavors this week. The chocolate chipotle butter pecan will make its debut Friday, April 30. The Texas-inspired flavor will be the combination of a smoke-dried jalapeno pepper, toasted pecans with butter and extra brute Belgium chocolate. Paciugo describes the flavor as a "smoky, creamy and crunchy, buttery and spicy." Next Friday, May 7, the roasted banana cashew Heath crunch will hit stores, and in the following weeks Paciugo will start offering durian (known as king of the fruits in Southeast Asia) and organic maple caramelized bacon. Also, the gelato store will celebrate Cinco de Mayo by featuring the chocolate jalapeno flavor that day, which is May 5 if you aren't familiar with the Spanish language or Mexico's history.
Urban Crust in Plano will offer a Pinot Noir wine tasting event tonight, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. For $27.90 per person, you will enjoy a four-course tapas menu paired with an international selection of Pinot Noir wines.
