Sure, the unlimited soup, salad and breadstick lunch at The Olive Garden is cheap and filling, but there's a new lunch menu that will make you want to skip those chain restaurant deals. As Hanna Raskin reported in March, Brackets (5300 E. Mockingbird Lane) is about to launch a revamped dinner menu soon, but the restaurant has just added lunch specials -- all less than $10 -- to lure the lunch crowd in for a quick bite and round of table tennis. The new specials include $5.95 appetizers like chicken and corn quesadillas and spinach dip. Sausage and pepper sandwiches, Reubens and burgers are all $7.95 with a salad or fries included. There's also a mix-and-match combo for $7.95 that allows customers to choose any three options from a soup, salad and slider menu. That means the vegan chick from your office can have three salads while you attack a plate of pulled pork sliders. If you're in the mood for meal bigger than your face, order fish and chips or the pork chop with macaroni and cheese for $9.95. Your face will be happy and so will your wallet. Your vegan coworker might look for a new lunch companion though.
