I'm going to go out on a limb and say this one will not sell out as quickly as Meat Fight, but Chad Houser's Cafe Momentum is always a big draw. The folks behind House of Plates, whose past parties have featured models, sweat, drunkenness and make outs, are now teaming up with Houser to offer an underground dinner in a secret underground location.
You're itching already, aren't you?
They're calling the event la cena, and while previous House of Plates events have featured Jell-o shots, bikinis and bikers, it looks like "the dinner" will be a bit more sophisticated. Pre-sale tickets cost $75, and include seven courses of Houserlicious with wine pairings. There's also live music to fill all those uncomfortable silences that bubble up while you flirt with the hipster beside you.

I asked Houser what he had planned for the event, but aside from telling me he's excited to court a new demographic, he'd only talk off the record. All I can tell you is that his team is cooking up some progressive surprises and some of them should extend way beyond the confines of your plate. This will not be your average Cafe Momentum dinner.
If you want to fit in you've got until November 1 to get your sugar skull tatt, but you should probably buy your ticket soon if you want to guarantee a seat.
You're dying to know where it is, aren't you? You won't find out where the location until the day before the event, and that's only if you purchased a ticket.
la cena, November 1, 7:30 p.m., $75, venue: super secret
