St. Pete's chili dog easily won our chili dog smack down, trumping the Angry Dog and securing it's spot in this year's 100 Favorite dishes list. High-quality ingredients are key here, and a hot dog made at Rudolph's Meat Market just down the road packs a lot of flavor into an already intense dish.
Rudolph's link is plump and smoky, and a natural casing lends a snappy exterior that's fun to bite into. Not that you can bite into this hot mess. It's almost possible to pick this puppy up and eat with your hands but I wouldn't recommend it. A fork and knife will help, but they won't guarantee your shirt remains clean.
