To prepare for this fall's Best of Dallas® 2012 issue, we're counting down (in no particular order) our 100 Favorite Dishes. If there's a dish you think we should try, leave it in the comments, or email me.

Not every sandwich has to be a full-service gut bomb. Sometimes you just want a little something, tucked into a little something else, to get you through the day without weighing you down. Zaguan's arepas fit the bill, while also offering something a hell of a lot more interesting than two slices of Wonderbread.

Stuffed with your choice of beef and cheese, chicken and cheese, mushrooms and cheese or my personal favorite, reina pepiada (pulled chicken and avocado), the little baby sandwiches pack in big flavor. And if a gut bomb is what you're going for? Just order two.
