It's been six months since the release of The Blurries' excellent debut album, Paper Cuts. During that time, drummer Bill Spellman welcomed his second kid (he's the only parent in the band), which cut into the promotional period just after the record's release. Over the phone today, Spellman says the band is back on track, writing new material and continuing to promote Paper Cuts.

A big push for the band comes today with the debut video for the song "My Love Is A Fuse That Burns So Slowly," put together by Oklahoma City's Delo Creative, a group known for their work with the Flaming Lips and Broncho. It explains why the above video is so psychedelic.
