Summer Splash 2013 Saturday, June 29, at House of Blues, $12/$17 There's nothing summery and not much to "splash" around in at this House of Blues show this June, but that doesn't matter because Rhymin' N Stealin', Dallas' favorite Beastie Boys tribute band will play with locals Faded Grace, The Frisky Disco, Whiskey Confessions Band and The Lowdown Band.

97.1 The Eagle's BFD '13 Friday, July 12, at Gexa Energy Pavilion, $9.71 So here's the deal. Here are the bands playing at BFD this year, and the actual musicians playing with them: Megadeth will feature Dave Mustaine from Metallica, Slash will feature Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Black Label Society will showcase Zakk Wylde (former guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne), Device is with Disturbed lead singer David Draiman, Hellyeah will have Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, and Newsted will feature Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and Stained guitarist Mike Mushok. Got that?

The Psychedelic Furs Wednesday, July 17, at House of Blues, $23-$40 English new wave band The Psychedelic Furs have been on the radar since 1978. Although they haven't released an album since 1991's World Outside, plenty of people will be lining up for a live version of their excellent catalog of music.

The Cult Sunday, September 1, at House of Blues, $27.50-$50 Mid '80s British post-rock band The Cult are coming to town for their Electric 13 tour, along with their lead singer, Ian Astbury, who I hope brings all of his funny-looking hats with him.

Aaron Carter Saturday, November 2, at House of Blues, $15-$65 Yes, that Aaron Carter, little brother of famed Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. I have no idea what the now 25-year-old plans to sing about, but you have GOT to see the video above before you buy a ticket.
