Update, 8/2, 11:45: The general on-sale begins in 15 minutes, at noon. You will have minutes or possibly seconds, not hours, so get that browser ready and pointed at either the NMH web site or Spune's.

Update, 8/1: The presale is live now through Crowdsurge. There are no codes or memberships needed that we can tell, but the site is a little finicky -- the first time we loaded it it said there were no tickets available for this show, the next time there were. Hustle!

Original post follows.

Neutral Milk Hotel is on tour and coming to our city. Words music writers everywhere were pretty positive they'd never be typing as recently as 2010. Then front man Jeff Mangum started playing a bit more -- surprise shows at first, little sets here and there. And by late 2011, he was playing actual shows -- a tour brought him to Dallas earlier this year. It was, by all accounts, a remarkable show.

Now the band is back together and touring. They'll play Dallas on February 15. Again: Neutral Milk Hotel is playing a show at the Majestic Theatre, right here in Dallas, in six months.

The lineup is the four you know and love from In the Aeroplane Over the Sea: Jeff Mangum, Scott Spillane, Julian Koster, and Jeremy Barnes. Fan club presale tickets are available tomorrow, August 1, at 10 a.m. according to Spune (who is promoting the show). We're looking for details on that and will post them here as soon as we get them. The regular presale begins Friday, August 2 at noon via Spune.

Tickets are $36 to $42.50, and $1 of each ticket will benefit Children of the Blue Sky.
