have been around for a few years now, plying their craft in the Northwest roots scene with their timeless folk songs and calming harmonies. But, on the strength of their 2010 sophomore release for Sub Pop imprintHardly Art
, the band's been starting to break out on the national scene. One listen to the band's timeless sound, and it's not hard to see why.
So Sunday night's performance from the band, at which they'll be joined by Dallas' Own The Naptime Shake and the Moondoggies' fellow Northwesterners, Portland's Quiet Life, should prove quite the treat. As is this: The Moondoggies have been kind enough to offer a DC9 reader interested in attending this show a free pair of tickets to see the show. But that's not all -- the band will also give same reader both a CD and LP copy of its Tidelands release, as well as, for good measure, two three-packs of Field Notes notebooks.
Not a bad take. After the jump, find out how to win the pack. And, since the Moondoggies are so generous, grab an mp3 of their song "What Took So Long," also from the Tidelands album, for free.
