It's looking like everything good about SXSW and Austin City Limits Music Festival combined into one big party in Waterloo Park on November 5, 6 and 7. You get the Austin culture of SXSW combined with the stellar lineup of ACL--and you even get to fulfill that weird childhood dream of seeing Weird Al Yankovic in concert.
As if that wasn't already enough, the folks over at F3F have today just made things even more interesting by adding nine new bands to the bill, including one impressive name with local ties. Which, as the insert picture here implies, is indeed Apples In Stereo. As you may or may not know, these days, the man keeping time for the Apples behind the drum kit is DFW's own John Dufilho, of I Love Math and The Deathray Davies
The Apples are fresh off the release of their seventh record, Travelers In Space And Time, and are ready to join in on the fun fun fun in Austin. And, between them and Power Trip, that makes two Dallas connections to the festival.
