In this week's paper, Daniel Hopkins brings our attention to the show that Glasgow-based pop band Trashcan Sinatras will be playing tonight at The Loft to promote their latest acoustic album, Brel. In the article, he describes the band's quick rise in popularity with their 1991 debut album, Cake -- a popularity that the band was unfortunately not able to maintain with their four subsequent albums. Luckily, though, the band has maintained a wide range of influence, noted by their recent release of a greatest-hits album, as well as the large cult following the band has generated, including some recognizable Dallas names.

Writes Hopkins:

Among the band's biggest fans is Dallas-area producer and songsmith Salim Nourallah, who likely won't be purchasing In The Music. He already owns the entire back catalog.
