The Recording Academy--you know, the folks behind the Grammy Awards--are throwing a big bash at the Granada tonight in conjunction with some T-Mobile Sidekick promotion. The show will feature normally big-time draws Kid Rock and Gretchen Wilson, either of whom could probably sell out the theater.
Only this show is aimed at a very, very specific market: T-Mobile customers. Only a limited number of tickets are available, and you have to get them through your local T-Mobile dealers. So, if you're a Verizon or AT&T customer and you really, really want to see this show, it looks like you're SOTL, pal.
(For what it's worth, we'll be at the show tonight--apparently, press credentialed Verizon customers are a-OK in the Recording Academy's book--and we'll have a full report on the show for you by tomorrow morning.) --Pete Freedman
