Virtuosic guitar player Marnie Stern will be headed to Sons of Hermann Hall tonight to promote her latest, self-titled album, a work that is currently being praised for its intimate songwriting style and bluntly honest lyrics, a noticeable change from her previous, more technique-driven albums.

Stern discussed her shift in focus with us:

"It's a weird thing," she says. "I'm really proud of this record because it's much more of me putting myself out there. I had much more personal things going on in my life, just a lot of mini-catastrophes that were happening over and over again."

So it's pretty exciting, then, that Dallas will get to hear Marnie Stern perform cuts from her new album tonight. And thanks to the folks at Sons of Hermann Hall, we have a pair of tickets -- plus a free copy of the show poster -- to give to one lucky DC9 reader!

Interested in winning? Find out how after the jump.

Want the tickets and poster? Just be the first person to email Pete, starting right now, with the words "Stern Looks' in the subject line, and you're in. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winner!
