Rick Ross introduced his so-called "epic trilogy" to hip-hop fans back in 2008 when he first released "Maybach Music" with Jay-Z on his sophomore album, Trilla. He released the second installment last year on his Deeper Than Rap album with some help from T-Pain, Lil Wayne and Kanye West, who certainly kept the ball rapping. Now, with his Teflon Don album set to drop next month, he's released the third and final installment to his trilogy, "Maybach Music III," with yet another climax of collaborations.
Jadakiss and T.I. both appear on the track with Ross, alongside a full orchestra. And, as if that wasn't enough, Dallas R&B queen and recent street stripping controversialist Erykah Badu drops the hook on the final installment. Give the new the track a listen right here.
Seems sufficient enough to gain some serious attention for the song and the new album. But it's not enough for Rick Ross.
According to a recent Rick Ross tweet, he's recruited Badu (herself a frequent tweeter) to direct the video. If it's half as earth-shattering as her last video endeavor, the end to this trilogy should indeed prove to be a substantial grand finale.
