Hey, remember back in April when we debuted our new, free, monthly concert series called Locals Only? Of course you do.
That first run was a damn good time, too, with pretty stellar performances courtesy of Whiskey Folk Ramblers and Kirby Brown.
Now it's time to do it all over again: On Thursday night, we'll again return to the friendly confines of the Jack Daniel's Saloon at Gilley's on South Lamar, this time with music from our friends in Bravo, Max! and Analog Rebellion. Like last month, the show starts promptly at 9.
There will, however, be some changes this month. For instance, the booze will be even cheaper -- well drinks and domestic beers will only cost $2 a pop this time around. And, yes, the famed Gilley's mechanical bull will be in full operational mode. In other words: It will be a total (sloppy mess of a) party. Good times, good times. Did I mention that it's free to attend? Pretty sure I did.
To get an idea of what this event was like last time around, hit the jump. There, you'll find some footage of the performances offered up by WFR and Kirby Brown, as well as some interviews with the band, as conducted by our old friend, the five-year-old puppet named Bleeckie. Check it out. Then we'll see you on Thursday night, yeah? Totally.
