Only the biggest and coolest Potterphiles will be the ones queuing up for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2 tonight as we anxiously wait for the clock to strike 12:01 a.m.

As somewhat mature adults, it's generally frowned upon to go all out with a head-to-toe Harry Potter costume. That is, unless it's Halloween or you're, um, you know, at home, er, role playing. [Insert wand joke here.] But being a so-called adult doesn't mean you can't show your allegiance to your favorite house or character in a fashionable way when you hit the cineplex.

Since Hermione wouldn't lend us her purple-beaded bag, with an undetectable extension charm, we had to come up up with our own items to add on to our clothes.

Here, we offer a list of seven (in honor of the books) items to jazz up your normal attire while celebrating Hogwarts in a mature, acceptable manner.

Accio accessories!

Gryffindor Scarf While a homemade Weasley-inspired scarf is preferred, store-bought is acceptable. Show off your support to the dynamic trio who have been your best friends since the beginning (even if they don't know that.)

Cissy's Platinum Streaks or Bellatrix's Hardcore Curls That is some damn good hair. While a permanent dye or perm job seems a little extreme (we prefer to say dedicated), go buy some hair spray paint or extensions. Who knows, maybe you'll channel some inner-Death Eater traits.

Dumbledore's Army Button/Badge What's another button added to your hoodie? It's a tactful and honorable way to show your support. Plus, Hermione and Harry would be so proud of you. Fine, if you must be that fan, go with the S.P.E.W. button.

Favorite Hogwarts House Tie Whether you're for Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin or ... Hufflepuff (to each their own) show it off with a snazzy tie. Unless you want Mrs. Weasley casting a Bat-Bogey Hex on you, I'd advise you to take some time and make it by hand.

Jaunty Plaid Hat In Honor of Minerva McGonagall I mean come on; this woman is so magnificent you don't need a Cheering Charm to make you love her. We all have one of these hats hanging in your Dad's closet; just let him know you're borrowing it for a few hours, add a feather and maybe work on your brogue.

Vintage Round Specks Harry Potter was the first person to introduce CHipster (child hipster) eyewear so, please give credit where it's due. Just take the ones you bought from American Apparel last week, put them on and you're ready to step on through to Platform 9 ¾.

Lighting Bolt or Owl Necklace Places such as Modcloth, Urban Outfitters and Etsy carry these stylish accessories by the car loads. Don some wings or flash your own version of Harry's mark to pay your respects to our beloved Hedwig and her Boy-Who-Lived.
