Back in December, the stunningly gorgeous trailer for Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life arrived and blew some minds. Somewhere in between the montage of space, rivers and birth was a brief shot stained-glass ceiling of the Chapel of Thanksgiving in Dallas. It got Unfair Park editor Robert Wilonsky wondering: was Mr. Malick actually here..in Dallas?

Turns out, he was. It was back in 2008, and was very "hush-hush."

Now, in true circle-of-life fashion, the Angelika Film Center in Dallas is building excitement to the highly, HIGHLY anticipated June 3 opening of The Tree of Life (which, by the way, won the Palme d'Or at Cannes) by screening beloved Malick films. So, starting tonight and through June 2, you can see Badlands, Days of Heaven and the Thin Red Line on the big screen. If you haven't seen them, we highly recommend. It starts at 7:30 p.m. each night, and tickets are 6 bucks.
