Is that numbing pain in your shoulder diminishing? It can only mean one thing: The weekend is coming! Unwind from your stressball career with runway shows, stand-up comedy and drag queen brunch. It's all happening this weekend, kids. Here's a little guide to cool stuff happening around town. Share it with those you love and click the event titles for more information. We'll see you down in Partytown.

Thursday 2.23 The Pin Show Featuring work by 35 independent designers, both local and national, this full-scale fashion fete is one of Dallas' most celebrated runway affairs. After taking a one-year hiatus, Pin is back and bigger than you remember. It's happening at the Fairmont Hotel's Regency Ballroom tonight. Tickets cost $18 to $30. Get them here.

Hockey and Heels This event combines wine and bloodsports, finally! Don't let the steep ticket price fool you (it's $70 bucks), because this affair is a twofer: Tonight you'll get to drink wine and eyeball some hot Dallas Stars players while they educate you about the sport, and then take red carpet photos on the ice. On March 8, you and a friend will put that knowledge to test from your Sharks versus Stars plaza seats. Call 214-387-5549 for tickets.

Sarah Colonna at the Addison Improv Fans of Chelsea Lately know this brassy blond's ability to nail down humorous philosophy on womanhood while knocking back party shots. She's in town for a four-night romp at Addison Improv which kicks off tonight. Tickets range $15 to $17. Get 'em here.

Friday, 2.24 Kill List at Texas Theatre A hit man, a botched job and buckets of blood make up what Texas Theatre is billing as the most brutal movie they've ever screened. Intrigued? Get a ticket; they'll run ya' $9 and can be found here.

Dixie's Tupperware Party at Bass Performance Hall This raunchy romp of slow-to-perish goods is delivered by sassafras drag diva Dixie Longate. Be warned: She isn't taking the stage to peddle Gladware, she's offering a naughtier look at food storage. Get tickets here. Saturday 2.25

Night of the Iguana Tennessee Williams penned this sweaty masterpiece, but Contemporary Theatre of Dallas brings it to life. Focused on a preacher in exile, an innkeeper at the end of her rope and other characters on the brink of calamity, tension is key in this hot and sweaty production. Even the iguana under the porch is feeling the pressure. This play runs through March 4. Call 214-828-0094.

National Cheerleaders Association Championships Watching cheerleading is just fun. People get thrown way too high, everyone is unrealistically happy and you get to be lazy and hypnotized while they keep the pep up. This competition begins at 8 a.m. at the Dallas Convention Center and runs both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $15.

Three New Exhibitions at The MAC The McKinney Avenue Contemporary always puts together a must-see show, and this opening reception is no exception. Featuring work by artists Bill Haveron, William Powhida and Jeff Gibbons, this exhibition flows from Haveron's undertones of folk art to Powhida's shake-up font-rich jabs at celebrity.

Sunday 2.26

Latino Bridal & Quince Girl Expo Super fluffy dresses, 200 venders and hair salons make up this massive event. Go prowl through piles of tulle and get a mega-hold up-do on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Fair Park. Tickets cost $10.

Drag Brunch at Dish The last Sunday of each month is a magical day at Dish. That's when you can enjoy a bottomless mimosa brunch while being entertained by local lovelies Jenni P, Jenna Skyy and Erica Andrews as well as DJ Paul Peredes. With never-ending booze your price is $30; without is $25. (Get the booze.)

The Secret Life of Girls Nearing the end of its run, this play breaks down what gals have known their whole lives: Other girls can be really mean. Focusing on bullying in teen and preteen circles, this children's theater production will pull you into the characters' struggles and show how modern technology has added new avenues for mischief.
