Last month, when it was announced Jonathan Demme (of Silence of the Lambs fame) would helm Stephen King's new novel about a teacher who time-jumps to stop JFK's assassination, we thought: Hey, isn't that a Quantum Leap episode?
Now, we'll have the chance to ask King if the new book was, in fact, Bakula-inspired. According to the press release, King will be hosting a fundraiser at the Majestic Theatre on Thursday, November 10 (tickets to go on sale Wednesday, October 5) to benefit the Sixth Floor Museum. It'll be a "Conversation With Stephen King," with moderation by DMN columnist Lee Cullum. Per the announcement:
"I tried to write this book in 1972 but it was too emotionally raw then," King said. "Nearly 40 years later, exploring The Sixth Floor Museum and learning from staff there was critical in helping the book come together."
Dallas is one of just five stops King's making, so quantum-set your clocks to October -- those tickets (they're ranging from $40 to $250) will go fast.
