Everyone – from NFL Films prez Steve Sabol to gambling websites to this dork -- is picking the Cowboys to go to the Super Bowl.

But out at training camp in Oxnard, Calif., players, coaches and even owner Jerry Jones are being very careful to avoid hyping the hype. Smart, considering the franchise hasn’t even won a single playoff game since 1996.

So we cornered Jerry one day last week after an afternoon practice. Forget the Super Bowl, is this the year the Cowboys finally win a playoff game?

“Yes,” Jerry said emphatically. “We may not win 13 games in the regular season again, but I think we’ll be a better football team, one that will have some success in the playoffs.”

So there.
