Chef David Gilbert is gone from Luqa. The 2007 Rising Star chef follows in the footsteps of Luqa executive sous chef Grant Morgan, who is now executive chef at Hotel ZaZa’s Dragonfly, filling the slot Marc Cassell opened. Word is that Luqa and its owner Obi Ibeto isn’t up to snuff on the payroll thing. Could bankruptcy have something to do with it? --Mark Stuertz
