Yesterday, a copy of the book you see pictured here arrived at the office. As you can see it was written by Joseph Garcia, who, along with six other men, escaped from the John Connally Unit near Kenedy in December 2000 and wound up at an Oshman's in Irving on Christmas Eve, where they killed police officer Aubrey Hopkins. Why? Writes the co-author, Selma Karen, a self-published writer in California: "Parents, take care of your kids before they hurt someone." The book costs $12.95. We have a copy at Unfair Park you're welcome to, absolutely gratis.--Robert Wilonsky
