So reports the great Ed Bark, who's peeked at a copy of the CBS affiliate's petition to the Federal Communications Commission in which KTVT's asking for a new frequency pronto. Uncle Barky's got the details, but the short version is: Channel 11 says the digital transition on June 12 absolutely murdered its viewership, leading to a drastic plunge in viewership and "thousands of complaints" from folks who're apparently still wondering what-the-what. The FCC's site also has the station's detailed reasons for needing Channel 19, in which execs write that "while KTVT has attempted to help these viewers receive its signal, it has become apparent that their reception problems are not susceptible of a ready cure."
