Since he was arrested over the weekend, speculation has been that former Kaufman County Justice of the Peace Eric Williams would be indicted on capital murder charges at any second in the slayings of District Attorney Mike McLelland, his wife Cynthia, and assistant DA Mark Hasse.

That hasn't happened yet, but the case took an interesting turn early this morning when Williams' wife was arrested and booked into the Kaufman County jail. The Morning News reports that she is charged with one count of capital murder.
Details on her alleged role in the killings are scarce but she, like her husband, would seem to have ample motive. McLelland and Hasse were zealous in their prosecution of Eric Williams for allegedly stealing computer monitors from the county's IT department. That case led Williams to lose his job along with the health coverage the couple relied on.
Kim Williams testified at her husband's theft trial that she suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Update.: Now, following a press conference on the steps of the Kaufman County Courthouse, we learn that Kim Williams confessed to all three murders yesterday.
That's the word in the Williams arrest affidavit, which you'll find below. The affidavit is unclear about who she claims did the shooting, but it looks as if she told authorities that her husband pulled the trigger. (This paragraph has been updated from a previous version.)
The affidavit traces her motive to her husband's removal from office and says that both Hasse and McLelland began carrying guns out of fear that Eric Williams would come after them.
Kim Williams is being held in the Kaufman County jail on a $10 million bond.
