Oh, You’ll Have Plenty o’ Hymns on Sunday, Don’t You Worry

You know, this looks like a photo of a band called Hymns, when you think about it.

You saw Knocked Up Friday, you hit the Arboretum Saturday afternoon and the Secret Headquarters anniversary that night. So where you gonna be Sunday afternoon, around 2 p.m.? Hint: It had better rhyme with Wood Peckerds.

Yeah, C.J. Davis’ kick-ass-in-store-plannin’ self has arranged for four mighty fine acts to entertain you during your leisurely Sunday afternoon. So have yourself some brunch and then get over to Good Records by 2 p.m. for Blackland Records presents: Chris Garver, mom, next-big national thang Hymns (who’ll play later at ye ol’ Double Wide) and our beloved Mara Lee Miller solo (approximately one act per hour). Good peeps will be Good grillin’, and expect the usual Good keg -- or just B.Y.O.B. to pair with the acoustic, experimental and humbly rockin’ Good line-up.

You know, now that we think about it, just go ahead and bring that hooch, ’cause it’s a guarantee the keg won’t last long -- and no one’s gonna want to make a beer run during any of these acts. --Merritt Martin
