Baylor University's W. R. Poage Legislative Library is "celebrating the art of editorial cartooning" with the exhibition "Drawing Power: Original Editorial Cartoons," which features such familiar locals as Bill DeOre, ex of The Dallas Morning News, and Dan Foote, with whom Schutze and I had the honor and pleasure of serving at the Dallas Times Herald. The Texas Observer today celebrates the celebration, which runs through December 20, and catches up with DeOre and Foote, who, like many of their peers, have been sadly excised from the pages of daily newspapers. --Robert Wilonsky
