Whilst on the city of Dallas Web site for an entirely unrelated matter, I espied this notice of interest to bargain hunters in search of property at low, low prices: a July 16th-scheduled offloading of foreclosed properties, most of which are vacant and some of which are ironically listed under the "improved properties" header, among them the one pictured here near the Oak Cliff Cemetery on 8th Street. Those so interested will need to submit a bid packet; me, I've got my eye on a whole mess of J.J. Lemmon Road up for grabs in the surplus-property sale a week earlier -- only $1.5 million for 98 acres.
