When Patrick recounted his trip to the Lakewood last week for that sneak preview of Thaddeus Matula's Pony Excess, the 30th of ESPN's 30 for 30 docs, he also posted the trailer for the film about the events leading to SMU's receiving the NCAA's death penalty on February 25, 1987. Since then ESPN has made available three excerpts featuring the likes of Dale Hansen, Norm Hitzges, Brad Sham, Randy Galloway and a parade of former Dallas News and Times Herald writers -- not to mention the likes of David Stanley (the Mustang who copped to taking $25,000) and Eric Dickerson (whose recruiting is detailed, down to the infamous gold Trans-Am). Their videos follow.
The film debuts tomorrow at 8 p.m. on ESPN, following the Heisman Trophy presentation to Cam Newton.
