And, for once, it ain't T.O. Dallas' Only Daily has two fascinating Cowboys-related tales today, one featuring Terrell Owens and the other inviting punch lines about the volatile receiver's alter ego.

On a semi-serious note, a special advertising section insert (for the life of me I can't find it online) gives deserved pub to T.O. and his involvement in the fight against Alzheimer's. Owens' grandma suffers from the disease, so he's lending his name to a Memory Walk on November 4 at the Dallas Zoo. It's a great cause. Too bad the editor of the section/writer of the story--one Liz Willding--didn't go to great lengths to research the star spokesman. T.O. is referenced as the Dallas Cowboys "running back." Maybe she couldn't remember his position? (Oh, man, did I write that out loud?)

In another story, seems T.O.'s position coach and favorite whipping boy Todd Haley has a little lawsuit on his hands. Actually, it was Haley's wife and the family's nanny who bought a salad from McDonald's in Southlake on June 5 and were greeted by the latest and greatest alternative to croutons--a juvenile roof rat. The resulting lawsuit is for a cool $1.7 million. Though you'd think Haley's making enough coin now to prevent his family for ever needing to patron McDonald's.
