Smokey Joe Barton's Wednesday afternoon tweet from a House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing has been making the rounds, as the Arlington congressman does seem awful proud of hisself for stickin' it to Secretary of Energy Steve Chu -- the same dude who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1997, pffft. Barton's even posted the video of the exchange on his YouTube page, that's how proud he is of stumping the secretary by asking him to answer, "How did all the oil and gas get to Alaska and under the Arctic Ocean?" Chu laughs, explains it's "a complicated story" that involves "hundreds of millions of years of geology" and "plates" moving around and ... To which Barton responds, "It wasn't a big pipeline that we've created from Texas and shipped it up there and put it under ground so we can now pump it up?" It's science.
