You know it's crawfish season when you have to strategically plan your weekend around crawfish boils. This weekend alone there are four different boils, so we've put together a quick run-down for all you mudbug lovers out there. Our weekly events round-up follows.

Boil #1 - 6th Annual Boil for the Brave

Don't just eat four pounds of crawfish, eat four pounds of crawfish for the betterment of mankind. As you crack shells and suck brains (crustacean only, please) at The Foundry, you too can feel a sense of altruism as you participate in this boil, the proceeds of which benefit the Veteran Housing Rehabilitation program. The cost is $30 at the door or free for veterans.

When it do: Saturday, April 18 from 11:3 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Boil #2 - Aw Shucks

The Lewisville outpost of Aw Shucks will host an all-you-can-eat boil, which will include shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and of course, crawfish. They're also holding a crawfish eating contest, so if you think you have what it takes to consume vast quantities of crawfish in an abbreviated period of time, well, this may be the boil for you. The cost is $25 and proceeds benefit Operation Kindness.

Boil #3 - Champagne and Crawfish MS Block Party

Meat Fight is a great way to donate to the National MS Society, but it's not the only way. This Saturday, bring $20, an empty belly and a penchant for crawfish to The Standard Pour, where the crawfish will be endless and proceeds will help bring an end to this terrible disease.

Boil #4 - The Salute to King Creole Crawfish Festival

Held at Chicken Scratch, this is no ordinary boil. Chef Tim Byres is in charge of the all-you-can-gorge-yourself-on Creole offerings, which include an oyster bar, gumbo, Andouille sausage and of course, crawfish. Deep Ellum Brewing Company will bring the beer and Byers will bring the Bayou, so you just need to bring a ticket ($20 in advance, $25 at the door.)

This is one dinner guaranteed to put hair on your chest. Revolver Brewing and Whole Foods are teaming up for a six-course, pub style dinner. The beer-tastic menu includes bacon wrapped beer brats, pear salad with beer vinaigrette, beer cheese soup, beer battered fish, shepherd's pie and chocolate lava cake. The cost is $30 per person.

Other than propping open a door with one, what do you do with a celeriac root, exactly? Melissa Wagner, resident chef at Urban Acres, can tell you. Better yet, she can show you. This Thursday, Melissa will lead a class in preparing every single vegetable found in one produce share. The cost is $60 per person.

Do you like BBQ? Do you like meeting friends on buses who also like BBQ? Well then mark your calendars, because the TMBBQ Road Trip is rolling into Dallas this Saturday. Enjoy barbecue from Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Q in Tyler and The Slow Bone Barbeque and Lockhart Smokehouse in Dallas. The cost is $150 per ticket.

Tickets start at $125 per person.
