Come celebrate Armenia, everyone's favorite former member of the Soviet republic, at Armeniafest. For those of you who appreciate elements of other cultures besides food, there will be folk dances, art exhibits, music demonstrations and more. For those of you who like to push past the dancers, musicians and art to get to the good stuff, here's the rub: lamb tenderloin, cheese boerek, lahmajoun (a minced meat topped flatbread), kofta, dolma and lots and lots of baklava will be available for purchase. Gate admission is free.

There is not exactly a shortage of Oktoberfests this time of year, but here's one that's got all the beer, all the brats and it's for a good cause, to boot. A ticket to the Oak Highlands Brewery Oktoberfest will include fünf (that's five, you dirty Americans) beers, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Dallas' Bridge Breast Network, which helps protect the tatas of women throughout North Texas. A worthy cause, indeed. Throw in a few brats from KbBrats food truck and you've got yourself a good time. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.

BeerFeast 2015, held at the Fort Worth outpost of Flying Saucer, will have all the beers. OK, maybe not all the beers, but close to it. The Feast will feature 80 craft beers from over 50 breweries. For $35 (prices go up to $45 at the door), you can try a dozen of them. Additional tasting cards will be available on-site for purchase for $3.

It doesn't matter what side of the fence you're on — Texas or Oklahoma — at Capitol Pub. This Saturday and Sunday, Okies and non-devil people alike can visit the Pub for half-priced pizzas and discount Texas draughts in honor of the Red River Shootout, which will be broadcast live on Saturday.

It dipped below 90 degrees this week, so that means it's officially chili time. And when it's officially chili time, it's also officially chili cook-off time. And when it's officially chili cook-off time, it's time to pop some antacid, pray to a God you don't believe in and tuck in. Five of Dallas' best chefs — Graham Dodds, Nathan Tate, Danyele McPherson, Jon Stevens and Randall Warder — will participate in the Celebrity Chef Chili Cook-Off at the Truck Yard. $25 gets you unlimited chili samples, a cup for beer and the power to help pick the winner. The cook-off will benefit Angie's Friends, an animal rescue group.
