Girl Scout cookies and craft beer: a pairing so indulgent, it's sure to make even the most lenient dietitian cringe. This year, LUCK will pair Thin Mints with Shannon Brewing Company's Chocolate Stout; Samoas with Rahr's Angry Goat Weizen Dopplebock; Do-si-dos with Texas Ale Project's Somethin Shady Porter; and Lemonades with Martin House's Salty Lady Gose.

Do you like your beer with a little baroque? Music, that is. Internationally recognized cellist Steuart Pincombe will hold a concert at Tupps Brewery. The evening will include a flight, if you will, of Bach's cello suites, each of which will be paired with a different beer. The concert is part of Music in Familiar Spaces, a project which aims to make classical music more accessible. Pay what you can for the concert (it's name-your-own-price) and what Tupps asks for the beer.

You eat, I eat, remember? Enjoy watchingTitanic
on the big screen while dining on a feast inspired by the last dinner served aboard the ill-fated ship as part of Alamo Drafthouse's food and film series. Don't be bummed by all the people who met their icy demise — just think about how cute Leonardo looks while noshing on fried oysters, consommé, poached salmon mousse and rack of lamb. Wine pairings and dessert are included, in true cruise-ship style. Tickets are $75.

Bust out the ceremonial stirrin' paddle 'cause it's chili cook-off time! What better way to mark the Superbowl than by droppin' g's from the end of your words and cookin' up a big ol' pot of rootin', tootin' chili? Three Links is holding a two-category chili competition. The first category is for Texas chili (where beans are about as welcome as a root canal) and the second category is for everything else: Yankee chili, vegetarian chili, etc. The chili must be cooked off-site and brought in a slow cooker to the competition, which will either be judged by bar patrons or a panel. Contests should arrive by 4 p.m. for a 4:30 p.m. judging. Just remember that whether you win or lose, at least you didn't get body-slammed by a 300-pound linebacker in the process.
