Leading up to September's Best of Dallas® 2016 issue, we're sharing (in no particular order) our 100 Favorite Dishes, the Dallas entrées, appetizers and desserts that really stuck with us this year.

Only a risk-taker orders bacon cheesecake. You go into it with the same mindset as watching a John Waters film: Either it'll be genuinely delicious, or it'll be a distasteful mess. However it shakes out, though, it's fun to try.

Sometimes, risk is worth the reward, and here is your proof. Bacon syrup, whiskey sauce, caramel and crunchy bacon crumbles top a generous hunk of cheesecake that you should — but won't want to — share. Finally, you won't have to choose among all of your favorite vices.
