The Denton Black Film Festival and The UNT on the Square Gallery are pleased to announce an exhibition and presentations by Denton artist Annette Lawrence--a Professor and Chair of Studio Art at the University of North Texas, College of Visual Arts and Design. Around Again includes art work and a series of three consecutive, LIVE Thursday presentations, starting January 7 to January 21, from the artist herself, FEATURING GUEST visiting artists, Christopher Blay, Vicki Meek, and Shay Youngblood. Jen Mauldin Gallery is thrilled to introduce our first solo exhibition with Paxton Maroney, entitled, Reverie. Paxton Maroney’s surreal photography invites the outside world to step inside snapshots of her dreams. For several years, she has woken up from vivid dreams, often in the middle of the night, and drawn the images composed on the backs of her eyelids. At times, she even engages in lucid dreaming throughout the day as she’s “trained her brain” to create new chimera for her portraiture.
