Marble Madness

Go to papernerds.blogspot.com, scroll past the artsy butt cheeks to April 14 and look--if you mumble an "ooh" that has more than two o's in it when you see the paper marbling photo, you've got to check out this class. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, join Paper Nerds for a workshop at We Are 1976 (1902 N. Henderson Ave) on the process of paper marbling. You'll learn to make swirly patterns with carrageenan (an extract from red seaweed) on paper and fabric. Use your marbly creations as bookmarks, wrapping papers, greeting cards or, shit--frame 'em. For what the class will cost you, you most definitely get to call this art. All supplies included. Just bring $65, a desperation to create some badass marbled stuff and an apron. Registration is limited. Call 214-821-1976 or e-mail [email protected]
