Jameson Irish Whiskey's abortion of a comedy tour somehow managed to choose the four least funny overgrown frat-boy douchebags on Earth, with Bert Kreischer leading the charge. Kreischer got his start when Rolling Stone named him the nation's No. 1 Party Animal in 1997. He turned the publicity into a comedy career, getting yuks with stunts like getting his ass waxed and challenging other hack comics in feats of strength. That last one might not be so bad, actually, because at least they aren't talking. I suppose it's no surprise that producing a quality lineup proved too difficult for a company more suited to the zero-effort business of selling whiskey to the Irish. Here's my suggestion for a more enjoyable night: Cut to the chase by taking the money you'd spend on a night at the Improv and buy yourself a bottle of Jameson. But if you don't believe me, have a quadruple shot at the Jameson Irish Whiskey Comedy Tour Wednesday through Sunday at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road. Tickets and showtimes are available at 972-404-8501 or improv.com.
