It's easy to be intrigued by a play by Sir Alan Ayckbourn and man, does he have a few under his belt, but Theatre Three nabbed my attention with House and Garden. The 1999 creation of Ayckbourn could tell a rather droll tale of an afternoon spent trying to get a garden party off the ground...if it weren't for things like the weather, potential politics, love affairs and servants who move things they shouldn't. The interesting thing about House and Garden is, they're two separate plays that when viewed in one order or the other, can give the audience a completely different take on the shoulds, coulds, woulds and whys. Audiences can pick which they'd like to enter first -- the House or the Garden -- as they'll be performed in Theatre Three and Theatre Too, respectively, with the same cast in both productions. Performances are Thursdays through Sundays through August 10. Tickets are $10 to $40. Call 214-871-3300, ext. 1 or visit theatre3dallas.com.
Thursdays-Saturdays. Starts: July 10. Continues through Aug. 10, 2008
