Folks these days are prone to hyperbole. Everything's the best, the biggest, whatever. And Robin Williams (documentary filmmaker, not the spastic comic actor) is no exception. His film Biblical Treasures of Turkey goes a little too far with the term "treasure." The trailer features, um, old buildings, some groves of trees and some reasonably impressive old churches. Cool—but treasures? Surely not. I'm thinking more along the lines of some grail action. Maybe a slightly singed but well-preserved branch or bush. Or the frayed edges of a particularly colorful coat. But let us not quibble about the Lord's valuables; let us merely get loaded at the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway, and see Biblical Treasures of Turkey, showing at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Call 214-821-SHOW or visit www.lakewoodtheater.com.
