A couple of weeks ago in Night & Day, I came out of the closet as a movie geek and admitted to my vice of DVD collecting. That was my first step. To go even further, and decrease my chances of a decent social life, I feel the need to now confess my online cinema obsession. [Deep breath] I spend far too much time perusing the Internet Movie Database, comparing the salaries of actors. Sound crazy? Trust me, it can be fascinating. Did you know the highest Joan Crawford was ever paid was $330,000 in 1942? Poor lady, no wonder she was always so bitchy. But Joan was a legend, despite Trog. And you can see her and other vintage acting greats at the Dallas Public Library in their film series, Great Ladies of the Movies, each Wednesday night in April. Films begin at 6:30 p.m. at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library at 1515 Young St. Admission is free. Call 214-670-1643.
Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. Starts: April 12. Continues through April 30
