An argument can be made that no female writer has been more influential than newspaper columnist Heloise, "every housewife's friend." The uses of vinegar and the best stain removers! Organization tips and getting burned food out of a pan! Daughter Poncé took up the mantle of Queen of Household Tips after the original Heloise's death in 1977. On the same night that her mother will be inducted into the permanent exhibits at The Women's Museum, Poncé/Heloise will share stories about growing up with a mom obsessed with finding ways for women (and men) to make short shrift of household chores. Listen, 7 p.m. Thursday at 3800 Parry Ave. in Fair Park. Admission is $30 for members, $50 for non-members. Call 214-915-0871.
Thu., March 30, 7 p.m.
