I keep meaning to make it to GayBingo, but it just never seems to happen. Why that is, I don't know. The appeal is tantalizing. Campy drag queen hosts, hunky dudes, extravagant theme nights and opportunities to win some cash—who can resist that? (Well, other than my dad...) But I'm going to make a vow to go this month. With Horror Classics as the theme and my predilection toward old scary movies, this could be the most fabulously frightening time. I can only imagine the number of Frankenstein brides and Elviras there will be, but I'm most interested in whether or not Wasp Woman or Blacula will make an appearance. Horror Classics GayBingo takes place Saturday at the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway. Doors open at 5 p.m. and reservations are recommended. Call the Resource Center of Dallas at 214-582-0144 or visit resourcecenterdallas.org/gaybingo.
Sat., Oct. 21, 5 p.m.
