We'll go ahead and tell you what Women and Horses is all about to spare you from stumbling upon the descriptions of something else altogether were you to Google the play's title. Sheilah is a rough, tough, bronco-riding badass. With the help of her leathery, weathered guardian Flo and the ghostly memory of her mama Vernelle, Sheilah sets out to rule the rodeo. Echo Theatre presents the world premiere of Mary F. Casey's Women and Horses at the Bath House Cultural Center, 521 E. Lawther Drive at White Rock Lake. Performances start at 8 p.m. with previews running Wednesday and Thursday night. Opening night is Friday with performances continuing every Thursday through Saturday until October 7. Sunday matinees take place 5 p.m. September 24 and October 1. Previews and Thursday performances are pay-what-you-can. Tickets are $10 to $20. Call 214-904-0500 or visit echotheatre.com.
