There's Still Time To Discover

Though we deal with time every day in the form of deadlines, appointments and alarm clocks, the passage of time can be difficult to visualize. From one point of view, that of geologic time, humanity's time is less than a fraction of a blip. From another point of view, that of speed, humans move too slowly to perceive the individual drops in a stream of water or the popping of a popcorn kernel. Playing With Time, a new exhibit at Sci-Tech Discovery Center, gives us a deeper look at all the seen-but-unseen things that we can only really understand with the help of tools such as time-lapse photography and high-speed video cameras. Become a master of time at 8004 N. Dallas Parkway in Frisco, Tuesdays through Sundays. General admission to the center is $6.50, with $5 admission for seniors and free admission for children younger than 2. Call 972-546-3050 or visit
