When you hear the name Jane Seymour, you think of one of three things: Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, that snake-heart pendant thing of hers at Kay Jewelers (which immediately takes you to the jingle), or, um, Wedding Crashers. All well and good, we guess, but lesser known to the less informed is Jane Seymour the accomplished painter. As if she weren’t busy enough. Wisby-Smith Fine Art and Milan Gallery are featuring her brightly hued works, which are largely nature- and child-inspired, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Seymour will also take time to read to kids ages 3 to 8 from one of her children’s books (of course she’s a published author, as well) from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, but space is limited. RSVP is requested for all events. Wisby-Smith is located at 500 Crescent Court. Call 214-397-0808 and visit wisby-smith.com.
Fri., Jan. 27, 6-8 p.m.; Sat., Jan. 28, 6-8 p.m., 2012
