Another door-kicker of a night at Queen City Hall. Fungi Girls may have the distinct honor of being Cleburne's best band. So good, in fact, Chicago's HoZac Records put out the young trio's sophomore LP, Some Easy Magic, last summer. It mines some of the same pop depths of forefathers Beat Happening: rhythmic, hypnotic rock 'n' roll straight from the basement, but with a very heavy-lidded Denton feel. Speaking of heavy and Denton, quartet Eccotone anchor the night with some fuzzbombs of their own. New Science Projects kick it loud and fast and Square Business slow it down for a night of tempo tantrums. $5, BYOB.
